Favorite feature: |
It's cute and reliable, and there is lots of room for those in the back as well. |
Least favorite feature: |
Spedometer in the middle of the dash, rather than in front of the driver. Not much place to put change or to deposit your cell phone or glass holder. |
Advice to buyer: |
If you want a manual transmission, try it in a hill first, then you might prefer an automatic transmission. |
Detailed review: |
The first time I drove this car, I found that the manual transmission went well, so did the clutch, but it was hard to start in a hill because the friction point is very precise so you have to let go the clutch very very slowly not to choke, but if you're in a hill, you have to do it fast so that you won't go backwards and hit the car behind you, so that's the hard part with this manual transmission, a problem I didn't have with other cars.
In 5th gear, the motor revs slightly too fast so you hear the motor more than you should.
There are a few vibrations in the dash, central part, after a while, but it's not that bad, after all it's all plastic. Most cars I had had this rattle here and there in the dash, so it's not better nor worse than a Corolla.
There is no temperature gage in the dash, so you don't know if your motor is heating too much. You'll only know once it's too late.
It,s very fun to ride and I would buy another one, but I think it's worth puting 1000 bucks more for a Corolla. |
