Go Hybrid!
February 28, 2005
Expensive gas. Dirty skies. Stinky exhaust fumes. Noise pollution. Yes, we Americans love our cars, but we're not so crazy about how much it costs to run them and the results of doing so.
No Hybrid!
February 28, 2005
Hybrids are Evil. You heard it here first, and here's why: they cost more money, don't deliver an equal value for all that cash and will keep the filthy little foreign oil rats in business for another 30 years. Hybrids do nothing well but everything okay. That makes about as much sense as diet soda, fat-free ice cream or low-tar cigarettes.
2005 Kia Sportage First Drive
February 25, 2005
SAN FRANCISCO - Dictionary.com defines a bargain as "something offered or acquired at a price advantageous to the buyer." And it's a word we Americans love, as is well documented by the number of superstores dotting the landscape and our affinity for "supersizing" it. Lots more food for just a few additional pennies? You bet! And no worries abou…
2006 Honda Civic Si Preview
February 25, 2005
Before the video game Gran Turismo came along, Honda had a lock on youthful buyers with the Civic. Fun to drive, reliable, and equipped with technologically advanced and fuel-efficient engines, Honda Civics could be easily tailored to the owner's personality through myriad aftermarket parts catalogs and websites.
2006 Infiniti M First Drive
February 23, 2005
Scottsdale, Ariz. - Back in school, teachers used to say that trying was better than doing nothing, even if your effort was wrong, incomplete, or flat-out off the mark. And for multiple choice exams, the common advice was to make sure to drop some of that Number 2 lead for every question, because good ol' luck was always a possibility. As a stud…
2005 Volvo V50 First Drive
February 17, 2005
QUEBEC CITY, Canada - Fahrenheit and Celsius converge when the temperature reaches 40 below zero, the forecasted wind chill on the day of our first test drive of the 2005 Volvo V50, and when the air whips across the surface of exposed skin, it sears the cells like a burn on a hot stove. Bundled in heavy coats, thick gloves, waterproof boots, and…
2005 Ford Freestyle Road Test
February 17, 2005
IRVINE, Calif. - Elvis Presley died from a lethal mix of prescription drugs on August 16, 1977. When the news broke I was riding in the cargo area of a forest-green 1972 Ford Galaxie 500 station wagon traveling 70 mph on southbound Interstate 75 in Michigan's lower peninsula, making out with the daughter of family friends with whom I had shared …

Dodge Charger Photo Gallery
February 11, 2005
On the track and on the street, the new 2006 Dodge Charger is sure to make an impression. Red as a Magnum and complete with a load of Dale Jr. attitude, the 2006 Dodge Charger looks to be quite a car. Dodge is not taking chances with this one, even giving it a nostalgic name that really, truly doesn't fit. The original Charger, after all, was no…
