CARS (Cash for Clunkers) Buying Guide

Introduction

These days, automotive handouts from the Government aren't just going to the companies that build the cars. Now that the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS) (or Cash for Clunkers) has been signed as a law, you too could be the recipient of some Government coin towards the purchase of your next car. In an effort to remove inefficient vehicles from the road (or spur auto sales depending on which lobbyist you talk to). The law rewards those turning in qualifying vehicles with money towards new, more efficient automobiles. This is a guide for identifying your best bets for researching a new, more efficient automobile that qualifies for a voucher. The program officially begins on July 23rd, 2009, and we've put together a list of all car brands that are guaranteed to have a variety of qualifying options for you.
